About

b. 1986, HK.

Alfredo is a director, cinematographer and visual artist from Italy who currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.

His first approach to documentary was during his audiovisual design studies at the Milan Polytechnic, after which he started to work as a photographer and filmmaker for media companies such as The New York Times, The Guardian, L'Espresso Magazine, Der Spiegel, Bloomberg Media, Marie Claire International and many more, covering some of the most important international events of the last 10 years: from the Arab Spring to migrant routes in Europe, from the terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015 to the coup in Turkey in 2016, until Trump's election and the Covid-19 pandemic.

After, he consolidated the practice of documentary filmmaking, driven by the need to change his way of reflecting on historical events he experienced, and to metabolize them with different speed and methods from those of the information industry.
